Fear & Comfort

Since our earliest days, being afraid is common to mankind. Nightmares and images haunt us as children. Our world is ravished with the consequences of sin, and peril is always near. This section of Psalm 23 is one of the most used passages, especially when facing mankind's greatest fear - death. It is a beautiful image of the presence of the Lord amidst all circumstances of life. David knows well the ways of a shepherd, and continues to use this analogy as he shows how God uses certain tools to help comfort us, His sheep. Pr. Nathanael continues to expound on this blessed Psalm.
