Passage: Exodus 34:1-7
Duration: 40 mins 5 secs
God´s wrath subsides after the Israelites sin by worshipping the Golden Calf. Moses has been given a glimpse of who God is. As God renews his covenant with His people, he makes sure they know who He is. The identity of the God, Jehovah, of this new covenant, is very important for the Israelites to know, and for us today. Pr. Nathanael continues in Exodus 34:1-7.

Passage: Exodus 33:1-3
Duration: 38 mins 1 sec
Sometimes the only way to fix something is to shut it down and start it all over again. The Israelites have sinned in creating a Golden Calf to worship in Moses´ absence. The covenant God wanted to make them has been violated to such a degree, that He takes measures to purge them of their sin and start over, renewing His call to Moses and His own identity. Pr. Nathanael examines this renewal process as he continues in Exodus 33.

The Golden Calf has shown how easy the heart of man can have a corrupted heart when we take our eyes off the true God. When a sin of any kind occurs, especially idolatry, the Bible says a payment is required. God's anger burns against the Hebrew nation for so quickly abandoning all He has done. Pr. Nathanael Fawcett continues the account which reveals more about God and the life of Moses, who pleads for mercy on behalf of the people.

Sin is like a toll on a highway. Someone has to make the payment. There is no passing without the payment being made. In the Bible, the payment for sin is called “atonement.” The Hebrew nation is saying they are worshipping the calf in the name of God. However, it is idolatry and the sin must be paid for. Who will pay? Where will atonement come from?

Israel had a crisis of faith with Moses disappearing for over 40 days. They wanted to "re-image" God. This always leads to corrupted worship. And just as indulgence is always followed by consequence, so does idolatry. There is always a price that will be paid. Pr. Nathanael Fawcett continues to look at the book of Exodus so we can see how the Bible reveals more about God, ourselves, and how He wants us to live.

Moses has disappeared from the Hebrew nation for many weeks. The people begin complain and express a need to have a deity they can see and follow. The story of the Golden Calf is a famous portrayal of how quickly and easily the human heart can turn from God. Pr. Nathanael Fawcett looks at Exodus 32 and among many things, shows us that we become like that which we worship.

The book of Exodus is filled with the word "tabernacle." It is used in various references, mostly for the tent that was designed to be carried in the desert. All the instructions for the building of the tabernacle and the use of it were very specific. The tabernacle was of utmost importance to God because it described the dwelling place of God among His people. But it also represents so much more than that, especially for us today and in to the future.

God has taken the Hebrew nation as slaves out of Egypt and they are headed to a place called the "Promised Land," a destination "flowing with milk and honey." Is there milk that comes out of the ground? Does honey drip from the trees? Is it a lucious environment full of potential success for its dwellers? Understanding the geographical truths of the Promised Land help us as Christians understand our journey to the destination God has for us, our heavenly home.

Three of the main attributes of God include omniscience (His knowledge), His omnipresence (He is present everywhere) and His omnipotence (He is all powerful). Pr.
